Misuse of Drugs Act.

On Wednesday 3 June, officers carried out a stop and search of a man in St Austell Town Centre at around 8pm under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

While no drugs were found, the man was found in possession of a knife and was arrested.

Further enquiries established he was wanted in connection with theft offences.

*************** of no fixed abode, has since been charged with theft offences and is due to appear at Bodmin Magistrates Court on 19 June.

He has been released on bail while enquiries continue in relation to the knife possession.
